Job Description


  • This is a technical position working on a team of 6-12 in development and implementation, integration, test and documentation of various software routines for signal and image processing and machine learning in C++, Java and Java Script.  This position is for Software Test and Development. 
  • Candidate will take direction from Program manager and more senior engineers to test and document software development efforts in C++, Java, JavaScript and HTML5.  Candidate will work inside a software development lab that will house the entire team and also in and out of secure environments.  Candidate will test and document software routines to CMMI level 3 accreditation and properly documenting and managing work flow. 


  • Under general supervision, performs analysis, design, development, testing, debugging and implementation of moderately complex software application programs in support of distinct product hardware or technical service lines of business.
  • Position is part of large software development team working with US Gov't personnel to design develop and integrate sensor fusion software onto platforms, test and upgrade.  Software development is in C++ and / or Java
  • Defines specifications for moderately complex software programming applications and/or oversees the maintenance of existing programs to ensure continued performance and compliance with current guidelines and standards.
  • Performs all necessary aspects of the programming phase of software development including coding, testing, debugging and documenting using current guidelines and standards.
  • Defines architecture requirements and performance standards to meet customer specifications.
  • Participates in the analysis and development of test plans.  Tests assigned components and units, provides test results and recommends corrections.
  • Identifies and directs resolution of moderately complex hardware/software interface issues or other technical problems.
  • Researches and develops prospective applications and products and maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies.
  • Authors or assists in the writing and/or presentation of briefings (reports on analyses, findings, and project progress), project or task plans, system specification manuals, technical reports and user manuals.
  • Participates in the preparation of technical proposals. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.




  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline plus at least 0-2 years of directly related experience. Professional certification(s) may be required.
  • In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 7 years applicable work experience. Work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience for positions involving new technology.
  • C++ and/or Java experience required.  Candidate must demonstrate understanding of basic software principles and development techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to communicate software concepts effectively.
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures used in software and systems development.
  • Experience with software development tools and programming languages.
    US Citizenship and a security clearance of an appropriate level may be required after employment.
